Textilwerk's Story

''When we started in 2019 with a team of five employees, we could never have imagined how quickly our idea and the team would grow. To ensure that we get one step closer to our vision of truly sustainable and open textile production every day, we work together as a team with a lot of respect, appreciation and passion on our joint project. 

When we founded textilwerk, one of our big plans was to break down the walls between creative designers and the otherwise entrenched textile industry. To offer creatives a platform on which they can offer designs outside the mainstream and on which they are paid fairly for every product sold.

With our on-demand production, we are fighting against the prevailing overproduction in the textile industry. We only produce each product when it is ordered and therefore needed. Together with our production partner in Poland, we have developed this process to such an extent that it only takes around 10 working days for your order - made especially for you - to be delivered.

The textile industry is dirty, opaque and ruthless. We are changing that. We make textile production transparent, understandable and tangible for everyone so that they can make a conscious decision for a sustainable product from fair and responsible sources. To do this, we start at the root of the problem - overproduction. Our on-demand production makes it possible to use the available resources in an appreciative and moderate way.
